The business world astonishes me. The struggles I’ve encountered attempting to distinguish myself from a personal trainer at a gym prove challenging so I’d like to take the time to differentiate the two. Although I am a certified personal trainer and I believe the benefits of exercise are profound, I actually do much more and my belief system is considerably different. My concerns include much more than physical fitness and how many times one worked out in a given week. Wellness goes deeper than what ones looks like and the gym isn’t the only place one is likely to have to be. Nutrition is not about cutting fat and counting calories. Nutrition is about putting whole foods into your diet and making slow, gradual changes that one can manage so that they become life long. Stress management is about setting goals and seeing them as a reality and yet still finding balance in all that one intends to achieve. Wellness coaching is about supporting individuals in their own unique choices as their wellness evolves.
