Healthy Apple Crisp

I absolutely love this tasty and easy to make apple crisp. The kids will even eat this!!! You can fine tune the maple syrup and Agave to your preference as well as the maple sugar and Stevia powder. I use them all but in varying degrees.

Pre-heat oven to 375* and lightly grease an 8 inch square casserole dish. Then, combine the following and add to casserole dish:

3 cups apples ( I don’t even peel them, but don’t use Delicious apples)

1 Tablespoon oat or rice flour

2 Tablespoons maple syrup or Agave Nectar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon sea salt

1 Tablespoon water

Then combine the following:

1/2 cup rolled oats (you can even purchase gluten-free oatmeal now!)

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 cup organic butter 1/3 cup maple sugar or 1/4 Stevia powder

Sprinkle on top of casserole and bake @ 375* for 40 minutes

You can also vary the recipe and increase the amount of protein by omitting the butter and substituting 1/4 cup of  peanut butter or almond butter.
