The following recipe is very simple and healthy AND the kids will even love it. The maple syrup suggested is real, organic syrup, not the high fructose corn syrup, full of colors and additives. I suggest real butter since margarine is only one molecule away from being a plastic. Cinnamon stabilizes blood sugar levels and you can add nuts to support that. Nuts are considered protein so they will keep you full and they are full of the healthy fats our diets are missing.
Celestial Banana
3 medium bananas
cinnamon
maple syrup
small amount of real butter
optional cashews, almonds, or any other type of nut
Peel and slice bananas. Place in glass baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with syrup. Dot with butter, cover and bake @ 350* for 30 minutes or until bananas are soft and bubbling. Add your favorite nut topping and serve warm.
