Simple suggestions to get more out of your workout:
Exercise can be done by simply using your own body weight. Lunges, squats, push ups, and pull ups work multiple muscles and can be done a variety of ways to support muscle confusion and create definition. Do a different number of sets and repetitions every workout as well.
Train your heart too! Cardiovascular exercise can be done many ways. You don’t have to walk the treadmill! Get outside and ride a bike or do 30 second sprints with 30 seconds of rest for 10 minutes. Every little bit counts.
Try yoga. You will gain strength, balance, flexibility and peace of mind.
Make fitness fun. Mix up what you do. Keep it simple. Most importantly: Forgive yourself for not being perfect.
